Health And WellnessPhysical activity has been proven to help the cardiovascular system, emotions and confidence. In fact, exercising has helped people in their 80’s and 90’s get stronger, more independent and energetic. The following activities have been designed for the mature adult. In collaboration with the Aging Care Connections, the Senior Health Center is staffed by a physician specializing in the medical care of adults aged 60 and older. The Senior Health Center physician works closely with the professional staff of Aging Care Connections to assure that all the needs of patients are met. Additional services provided include health education, medication counseling and individual consultation on health-related topics. Physicians accept Medicare assignment and several insurance providers. Physician hours are Thursdays from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon. To make an appointment, please call (708) 579-4073. Mental Health ProgramsAging Care Connections and Pillars have combined resources to offer support services to older adults experiencing emotional difficulties or adjustments to changes in their lives.
